Leading the charge in a new era of health care

The eighth annual Purchaser Symposium focused on benefit strategies you can implement to lead the charge in this new era of health care. The program also provided the business and community leaders with information on emerging strategies in employee benefits. This year's event was held on February 24, 2011 at the RiverCentre in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The keynote speaker, Arthur J. Rolnick, Senior Fellow and Co-Director of the Human Capital Research Collaborative at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota provided an optimist's view on the economy and how it impacts health care. Mary Brainerd, HealthPartners President and Chief Executive Officer, shared how HealthPartners is leading the charge in health care innovation.

This year's program also featured four workshops and an employer panel, where three organizations shared the innovative actions they have taken to address the challenges of offering affordable health care.
