Who Should Attend

The 30th Annual Strategies in Primary Care Medicine conference is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and others who seek the most up-to-date information on current issues and hot topics in primary care.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:  

  • Describe the most recent advances in internal medicine.
  • Apply one or more of the following to your practice:
    - Utilize evidence-based approaches with common clinic based medical conditions.
    - Utilize cost-effective and safe use of resources including diagnostic testing and medications.
    - Improve patient outcomes by implementing best practices.
  • Discuss morbidity and mortality on puzzling and mysterious clinic based medical conditions.*

Conference Location and Accommodations

The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Metrodome, 1500 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis. Sleeping room rates start at $105.00 (plus tax) per night. Reservations should be made directly with the hotel by calling 612-333-4646 or 800-448-3663. Please identify yourself as a participant of the HealthPartners Primary Care Conference to receive the group rate. Reservations should be made by August 29, 2012 , after this date, rooms are subject to availability and regular rates may apply. Parking is available in the hotel ramp. Complimentary vouchers will be available at the registration desk.

Accreditation Statement

HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. (Additional .75 for each optional lunchtime learning session to equal 12.25 hours.) Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.

HealthPartners, Inc. is approved by the Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education for Minnesota pharmacists. This program has been submitted for 10.75 hours of continuing education credit. (Additional .75 for each optional lunchtime learning session to equal 12.25 hours.) Each pharmacist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she spent in this educational activity.

This program has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing’s criteria for 12.9 contact hours of required continuing education. (Additional .90 for each optional lunchtime learning session to equal 14.7 contact hours) It is the responsibility of each nurse to determine whether a continuing education activity meets the criteria established by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.

Cancelation Policy

The registration fee, less a $20 administrative charge, is refundable after the conference if cancellation is received 24 hours prior to program date.
