Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS)

HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.  Health Professional Education has been awarded ACCME’s highest ranking: Accreditation with Commendation.

The ACCME defines a Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) as an activity that is:

• Planned as a series with multiple sessions that occur on an ongoing basis (offered weekly, monthly, or quarterly);
• Primarily planned by and presented to the accredited organization's professional staff.

NOTE: Annual events hosted by hospital departments are not considered RSS and require submission of a separate educational planning form, adherence to additional accreditation requirements and may have corresponding fees for accreditation. (Visit Planning and Coordination.)

RSS Templates and Resources

The Institute has developed a list of templates and resources for coordinators to use when completing an RSS activity. Access to these resources is available through the HealthPartners/Regions Hospital computer network only.
