DESCRIPTION
The experienced staff in Travel Medicine will assist a person with medical needs before international travel and upon their return. Anyone preparing for a trip abroad should visit Travel Medicine; ideally, 6-8 weeks prior to travel. Assistance includes:
-A thorough review of your medical history as it relates to travel risks
-Immunizations needed for the country you will be visiting
-Medications to take with you to treat common health problems faced by travelers.
-Education on food, water and insect precautions.
-Information about your destination including weather predictions, political climate and general safety information.
-Physical exams/lab work for visa applications
