DESCRIPTION
The staff of Infectious Diseases are dedicated to evaluating and managing many acute, chronic and recurrent infectious diseases. In addition, an on-site social worker helps patients deal with the impact of their diseases. Infectious Disease provides diagnosis and treatment of all acute, chronic and recurrent infectious diseases, including:
-Inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultation
-HIV infections
-Lyme disease
-Hepatitis B and C
-Outpatient intravenous antibiotic therapy
- Travel Medicine
-Sexually transmitted diseases
-Immunodeficiency syndromes and viral diseases
-Chronic infections, including osteomyelitis
-Fevers of unknown origin
