United Hospital is St. Paul's largest private, not-for-profit hospital. Its staff is committed to placing patient needs first and to treating all individuals with compassion and respect.
United's Birth Center, a shared service with Children's Health Care--St. Paul, provides a broad range of services for all pregnancies, from routine to high-risk. Children's neonatal intensive care unit is across the hall from the labor and delivery unit, if a newborn should need serious medical attention.
For patients with cancer, United has dedicated cancer specialists, subspecialty services and a highly trained nursing staff. The hospital has a radiation therapy center as well as specialty programs, such as high-dose chemotherapy with peripheral stem-cell rescue.
United also offers a complete range of cardiac diagnostic, interventional and treatment programs, including echocardiography, electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterization, repair of congenital defects, implantation of cardiac devices, angioplasty and bypass surgery.
