Personal Profile I am a native of Minnesota and enjoy the quality of life that we share here. I am a husband and father of three wonderful children with whom I share the majority of my time away from the practice of medicine. During medical school and residency, I found myself attracted to caring for patients with cancer and blood disorders. The privilege and challenge of effectively and compassionately serving patients with cancer and their families is very important to me. Whether aggressively treating a patient with curable cancer, or helping to gently support the hospice care of a patient who is dying, I try to consider each person as though they could be one of my own family members. I enjoy teaching and learning from my patients and their families. My style is to carefully listen and discuss all reasonable options as we decide on a course of action together. I am privileged also to work with an outstanding care team of nurses, pharmacist, receptionists and Hematology/Oncology physician colleagues who care very much about giving the best care to each patient, and with many specialists and primary care physician colleagues across our medical group who strive to create perfect care for each of our patients, all the time.
