Personal Profile Dr. Ralph Bovard received his M.D. degree at the University Minnesota in 1984. He completed a residency in preventive medicine and an MPH at the University of Arizona 1996. He was interim head of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Health Partners 2003- 2005. He served as lead for primary care orthopedic sports medicine at the HP Specialty Center from 2005 -2008. He served on the Board of Trustees of the American College of Sports Medicine 2005- 2008. He is a Fellow of the ACSM, and served on the Exercise is Medicine task force. He has worked as a physician in Antarctica, a missionary doctor in Papua New Guinea, ran a ski clinic in Colorado, and served as a Mt. Everest expedition physician. Dr. Bovard worked previously at HP 2000-2009 and has 25 years of clinical practice experience. He is active in masters swimming and cross-country skiing.
