Career

Ann Wynia's career spans education, government, social service and community development. She currently serves as president of North Hennepin Community College and serves as a board member of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, and the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce. She was elected to serve the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1977-1989, and was the commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Services from 1989-1990.

Personal

Ann lives in St. Paul. As a student, she helped pay for college by working in the lab at the local hospital, but most of her involvement with healthcare has been either as a consumer or public policy maker. In her spare time she enjoys reading and hiking.
