More than half of all Americans have high blood cholesterol levels, increasing their risk for heart disease. Managing your cholesterol can help you get on the path to a healthy heart. With "A Call to Change... Solutions for High Cholesterol," work one-on-one with a registered dietitian or pharmacist to:
Find out what high cholesterol means for you and your health
Make food and activity choices that can lower your cholesterol
Learn about medication and its role in managing cholesterol
Set realistic goals to improve your overall health
Here's how it works:
Arrange 15-minute phone sessions with a registered dietitian or pharmacist, depending on the course topic.
The sessions can be scheduled Monday through Thursday between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., CST, and Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., CST.
You'll receive a course workbook, action planner, food and activity log, and a clinic visit checklist to guide you through doctor visits.
Complete workbook activities on your own time to learn more about managing your cholesterol and to prepare for phone sessions.
