If you want to quit smoking but don't know where to begin, the support you need is one phone call away. Take the first step toward quitting smoking with "A Call to Change... Partners in Quitting." Work one-on-one with a health educator to learn how to:
Prepare for the quit date
Set a quit date
Beat cravings
Relieve stress
Deal with tempting social situations
Adjust to life without nicotine
Here's how it works:
Arrange 15-minute phone sessions with a health educator.
The sessions can be scheduled Monday through Thursday between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., CST, and Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., CST.
You'll receive a course workbook and a step-by-step quit smoking calendar. Mail order nicotine therapy, including a nicotine patch, nicotine gum, and nicotine lozenges, is available for a fee.
Complete workbook activities on your own time to learn more about quitting smoking and to prepare for phone sessions.
