U.S. News' America's Best Health Plans: HealthPartners only Minnesota plan in top 50
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – HealthPartners is the only Minnesota health plan in the top 50 nationwide according to the 2006 U.S. News & World Report/NCQA America's Best Health Plans issue. The rankings, which compare quality of care and customer satisfaction, are featured in the November 6, 2006 edition of U.S. News & World Report. The report compares more than 450 commercial, Medicare and Medicaid plans from across the nation.
Health plans were judged on areas including child and adolescent immunizations, cancer screening, care for heart disease, asthma, diabetes and depression and how satisfied patients are. HealthPartners scored higher than the national average on measures including diabetes, depression, cancer screening and childhood immunization.
HealthPartners commercial and Medicare Advantage plans are the top ranked plans in Minnesota and the only Minnesota plans ranked in the top 50 nationwide. HealthPartners commercial plan is the 44th highest ranked plan nationally and its Medicare Advantage plan is the 36th highest ranked plan in the nation. HealthPartners is featured in the print edition of the magazine, which identifies the top 50 commercial plans. The online edition is available at http://www.usnews.com.
