HealthPartners doctor elected to state chapter of American College of Cardiology Board of Councilor

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - William Nelson, MD, PhD, medical director of cardiology for the HealthPartners Medical Group and department head of cardiology at Regions Hospital, was recently elected to the Minnesota Chapter of the American College of Cardiology Board of Councilors. The board's role is to advise policy and health care reform related to cardiovascular care.
The Minnesota Chapter of the American College of Cardiology promotes optimal cardiovascular care and disease prevention through public and professional education, promotion of research, leadership in the development of standards and guidelines and the formulation of health care policy.
