How to Get a Shot
Due to a community wide shortage of seasonal flu vaccine, HealthPartners Clinics are temporarily suspending scheduling of appointments for flu shots, as well as all walk-in flu shot clinics. We will resume seasonal flu shots when more vaccine is available from our supplier.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, seasonal flu is not very common in Minnesota right now. So be assured that waiting to receive a flu vaccination will still provide you protection for the seasonal flu season. If you decide you do not want to wait to receive a vaccination, check the Minnesota Department of Health flu shot Web site for a list of walk-in flu shot sites that may still have vaccine. H1N1 Vaccine
Seasonal flu vaccinations do not protect against the H1N1 virus. An H1N1 vaccination has been developed and distribution has begun. The Centers for Disease Control and Minnesota Department of Health are currently providing vaccine for health care and emergency response personnel and people who are at the greatest risk for complications. As more vaccine becomes available, anyone who wants an H1N1 immunization should be able to receive it.
