HealthPartners physician elected to American Burn Association Board of Trustees

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - David Ahrenholz, MD, HealthPartners physician and associate director of the Burn Center at Regions Hospital, has been elected to a nine-year term with the Board of Trustees of the American Burn Association (ABA).
The ABA promotes and supports burn-related research, patient care, education, rehabilitation, and improved quality of care provided to burn patients through advocacy initiatives.
Dr. Ahrenholz is board certified in general surgery and is a member of the Surgical Infection Society, American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and is past president of the Minnesota Surgical Society. He has co-authored three dozen book chapters, over 100 abstracts and 45 scientific papers published in medical journals related to burns and surgical infections.
The Burn Center at Regions Hospital is one of the country's first burn centers and is verified by the American Burn Association through the American College of Surgeons. It is the most complete and extensive care facility of its type in the Upper Midwest.
