HealthPartners is national benchmark in six out of seven areas in National Business Coalition on Health report

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – HealthPartners is the top-performing health plan in the nation in six out of seven areas according to a newly released business report. The report, sponsored by the National Business Coalition on Health, is based on the eValue8 request for information tool. The tool is used by purchasers across the country and is sponsored locally by the Buyers Health Care Action Group, a coalition of private and public employers.

This year, the NBCH/eValue8 report compared 102 health plans including HealthPartners, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and Medica. HealthPartners achieved national benchmark status in the following areas:- Chronic disease management
- Prevention and health promotion
- Provider measurement
- Consumer engagement
- Behavioral health
- Pharmaceutical management
Value-based purchasing

Last month U.S.News & World Report/NCQA America's Best Health Plans (www.usnews.com) ranked HealthPartners among the top 50 best health plans in the U.S.
