The HealthPartners Difference

Our family of Medicare plans are designed to provide employers with options on how to address the new Medicare Prescription Drug option (also known as Medicare Part D).

Medicare Modernization Action. The Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, also known as the MMA, created a new voluntary outpatient prescription drug benefit beginning January 2006. These new prescription drug benefits are also referred to as the Medicare Prescription Drug Program or Medicare Part D.

Impact on Employer. Employers that offer a retiree prescription drug plan to those eligible for Medicare need to decide how to offer coverage in 2008. Employers may select from the following strategies to implement the Medicare Modernization Act.
