HealthPartners opens retail location at Ridgedale Center
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Oct. 25, 2012 – HealthPartners wants to make choosing a health insurance plan as easy as possible for Minnesotans. To do that, HealthPartners is opening a retail location today at Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka that will provide a face-to-face setting for seniors to learn about Medicare and for Minnesotans who buy their own insurance to learn about their options.
At the location, which will be staffed by licensed sales agents, individuals can learn about HealthPartners Medicare and individual products, ask questions that are important to them and actually enroll in a plan. The shop is the first of its kind in Minnesota.
“We know that shopping for individual health insurance or a Medicare plan can be complicated," said Andrea Walsh, HealthPartners vice president. “We want to meet our members, prospective members and their families where they live their lives and help them make smart, informed choices about their health care coverage.”
The pop-up shop, which is adorned by many of the characters from HealthPartners billboards and advertising, is located in the center of Ridgedale Center. It will be staffed during most of the mall’s business hours. In addition, it will open before stores so people who walk in the mall for exercise will have convenient access. The location will be in operation until mid-December and is timed to coincide with Medicare’s Annual Enrollment period, which runs until Dec. 7.
Anyone interested, including those not currently covered by HealthPartners, can get free information and in-person consultations that can help them make smart decisions about their coverage. People can enroll in a plan at Ridgedale, can return later after weighing their options or they can continue enroll online, over the phone or with the insurance agent of their choice.
HealthPartners© Freedom Medicare plan received a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services 2013 plan ratings. Freedom is one of only 11 plans in the nation – among the 563 plans rated – to receive Medicare’s highest rating, earning a spot in the top 1.95 percent. Freedom is also the only plan in the Cost and Medicare Advantage with Part D category in Minnesota to receive five stars.
