What is HealthPartners RxCheckup?
HealthPartners RxCheckup, a medication therapy management program, provides free, confidential one-on-one appointments with an experienced clinical pharmacist to help you get the results you need from your medicines. It goes beyond traditional pharmacist counseling to provide you with:
- One-on-one consultation in a private setting with an experienced clinical pharmacist.
- A review of all of your medicines, including specific answers to your questions about over-the-counter medicines and herbal and nutritional supplements.
- Advice on how to best use all of your medicine and how to avoid possible problems, such as adverse effects and drug interactions.
- Suggestions on potential medicine cost savings.
- Guidance to simplify your medicines or help creating a detailed schedule you can follow for best results.
- Monitoring of conditions affected by your medicines, such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugars, etc.
Why should I participate?
With our extensive network of pharmacists at convenient locations throughout Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin and over the phone, HealthPartners makes it easy to participate in RxCheckup. Plus participating in RxCheckup benefits your health and wallet! On average, RxCheckup pharmacists make three medicine recommendations for each new patient they see. With these recommendations you can:
- Be safe – Our clinical pharmacists make sure your medicines (including non-prescriptions) are safe to take with each other, help you understand the risks and how to avoid side effects.
- Feel good – Some of your medicines may make you feel sicker instead of better. When you’re taking medicines that fit your body and lifestyle, you can better control your health and feel better!
- Save money – Whether it’s combining pills, finding a generic or working with your doctor to find ways to get off some of your medicines, our pharmacists will be able to help you save money!
How Do I Schedule an Appointment?
If you received an invitation letter to participate in RxCheckup, please call the number provided to you in the letter or call Member Services at the phone number on the back of your Member ID.
If you’re a HealthPartners member and didn’t receive an invitation letter but are interested in making a RxCheckup appointment, call 952-967-7969 to schedule an in-person or over the phone appointment at the clinic location that is most convenient for you. Our appointment schedulers are available seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST.
