Meet Danielle R. Baker, MA, LMFT
I am thrilled to be providing therapeutic services at the Melrose Center. The therapeutic relationship is so important in the process of helping patients to create change. I am always honored to become a part of a patient's story and therapeutic journey to healing. I work collaboratively with patients to help them find peace, balance and acceptance in their lives. I enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team to help patients make improvements in their standard of living by shedding light on their hidden strengths and opportunities. I use evidence-based treatment approaches in my therapy practice, which include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and family-based treatment.
Other areas of interest include nutrition, body image, women's health, perfectionism, developmental life-stage transitions, parenting, mindfulness and chemical dependency. I have a particular passion for helping empower women to create balance between the duties of parenthood and being a working professional. I enjoy working with families, couples, adolescents, children and adults.
I grew up in central Minnesota and enjoy spending time on the many lakes in the area. I love spending time with my husband and two kids, as well as other family and friends. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, decorating, cooking, reading, scuba diving, biking, swimming and being outdoors.

More about me
I have always known I wanted to work in a helping profession. I enjoy being able to provide alternative ideas, insights and perspective to patients working on creating change in their lives.
My patients can expect to work with me in a collaborative relationship towards change. I enjoy helping patients to find more peace, balance and strength in how they live their lives. I often use humor and real life experiences in my work with patients and their families in a caring and compassionate way.
I enjoy spending time outside with my husband and two kids, checking out new restaurants, walking by the lake and reading.
I enjoy spending time outside, being active and getting as much sleep as my kids allow.
Being able to enjoy all four seasons.
