Meet Charlie Bryz-Gornia, MD
I enjoy working in women’s health care, from adolescence to maturity. To me, women’s health and wellness is the harmony of mind, body and spirit. One cannot get there with only tests and pills. I recognize and appreciate this complexity of the human condition. Cooperation and communication serves me better in ministering to and caring for my patients. My focus is using the resources of Park Nicollet to help people and sustain the patient-doctor dynamic. My goal is to listen to patients while providing care with comfort, compassion and sound judgment. I believe medical decisions are mutual decisions.

More about me
I became a doctor to continue my desire to serve people in need assistance. I learned early about needs, frustrations and barriers for health care provision in caring for my youngest brother who has Down syndrome. He is truly remarkable, but seeing my family interact with the health care system in the 1970s and onward, I knew I could lend my heartfelt caring, talents and experience to helping others.
Patients can expect a patient and caring provider who knows it’s better to listen than to talk at times. I welcome collaboration with patients and encourage discussions of the best way to provide healing and understanding.
Family time is wonderful. My four adult children and their partners invite us to many millennial-geared happenings. My wife and I enjoy backyard activities, bike rides, wine-making and caring for our dog and two cats, as well as watching the grand-pets.
Walking, biking, swimming and doing outdoor activities.
Funny, helpful, involved, loving and full of insignificant facts.
I wanted to be an astronaut first, then a scientist.
My mom always told us to do the right thing. Her rhyme was, "Good, better, best. Never let it rest until the good is better and the better is best."
Four seasons and the opportunities to embrace the outdoors.
Being married for over 30 years and having four wonderful and interesting adult children. I have over 22 years of experience practicing in the Minneapolis metro area. I was named a Top Doctor in Minnesota Monthly in September of 2019.
I love being a doctor and helping people. I am currently an assistant clinical professor at the University of Minnesota Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
This doctor provides care at the following hospitals, but may not take patients at all of them. Talk to your doctor to see where you can go.
