We've done great things together!
Thanks to the support of school district teachers and staff, YouPower raised $36,500 for charity in 2018. That’s right, this summer we donated $50 for every health assessment completed through YouPower, the health and well-being program designed to help Minnesota school districts reach their health goals.
The money raised was given to the American Diabetes Association, Alliance for the Great Lakes and Autism Speaks. Way to go!
At the request of participants, in 2019 we’re switching up our charitable organizations to support organizations that have a more direct connection to students and staff. This year, participants can choose to support one of these great organizations:
- Autism Speaks: Enhancing lives today and accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow
- First Book: Provides new books, learning materials and other essentials to children in need
- Second Harvest Heartland: Making sure kids have the food they need to learn in school
How YouPower helps school districts succeed
Teachers and staff members are constantly putting students first, which can lead to personal stress and exhaustion. YouPower helps school districts focus on what’s really important – their health and their students.
Staff members have a variety of well-being resources as well as promotional materials to help them reach their health and well-being goals, in and out of the classroom. Plus, the YouPower well-being champions help tap into the well-being toolkits for simple ideas to promote district wellness initiatives and other resources.
