RxCheckup included for self-insured employers

Beginning October 1 as groups renew, our medication therapy management program (called RxCheckup) will be included for all self-insured groups with HealthPartners pharmacy benefits. HealthPartners RxCheckup improves health and reduces total health care costs and is included at no additional administrative cost!

The RxCheckup program provides one-on-one consultation with a clinical pharmacist to review members’ medicines to ensure they are safe, effective and fit their lifestyle. We proactively invite high-risk members with diabetes, coronary artery disease and those taking multiple medications to participate in the program. Additionally, any member can be referred into the RxCheckup program.

RxCheckup visits are provided by our network of pharmacists throughout Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Members can choose to have their visits in person, over the phone or via video conferencing, when available.

With a RxCheckup visit there is no member cost-sharing to encourage higher levels of participation. Since this is included as a disease management program, this approach is designed to work with all types of health plans, including Health Savings Accounts. RxCheckup services will be covered like any other covered service and your plan liability will be billed and detailed in the corresponding self-insured paid claim file.
