The ratings show how effectively physicians and hospitals use resources for the patients they serve. It helps you compare the overall cost of care of one provider group or hospital to another. If a provider has a low overall cost rating, it does not necessarily mean that the provider will charge less than others for every service. Fees for a certain service may be higher or lower in comparison to others regardless of the provider's overall rating.
