Meet Michelle L. O'Brien, MD
I love being a family physician and recognize what a privilege it is to be allowed into the lives of patients and their families. I approach the patient-provider relationship as a partnership, helping guide patients in their pursuit of health and wellness, integrating medical goals with patients' beliefs and values.
I have a particular interest in working with women having obtained my master's in public health in maternal and child health at Boston University. My public health focus fits naturally with my skills in preconception and prenatal care, breastfeeding support, perinatal mood disorders and addiction in pregnancy
I prefer working with patients in a holistic way, utilizing an integrative approach including nutrition, exercise, acupuncture and mind body approaches like yoga and meditation along with more traditional medicine. I recently have begun studies in functional medicine and look forward to integrating that into my practice focusing on women's health.
I am a mother to an amazing daughter. In my free time I like to take walks with my dog, work on house projects, shop and dine locally as well as taking in all the Twin Cities has to offer including the local music scene and sporting events.
