Based on the nature of the incident, and the ongoing investigations, Blackbaud is confident that no data went beyond the cybercriminal, was or will be misused, or will be disseminated or otherwise made available publicly. Moreover, no credit card information, bank account information, or social security numbers were involved. As a best practice, we recommend you remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity or suspected identity theft to the proper law enforcement authorities, such as the Federal Trade Commission or your state Attorney General.

Over the past month, we’ve worked with Blackbaud to learn the full scope of the data security incident, get an accurate understanding of what information may have been affected, and learn what steps Blackbaud has taken to further protect donor information.
