The length of your stay depends on why you're here. For example, a planned surgery may mean you go home in a few days. But an unplanned visit, like for an unexpected medical event, might mean tests, observation and extra care.
Your care team will be in constant communication with you and each other. We'll do our best to estimate when you'll be going home and let you know the day before so you can plan accordingly.
Your care team will give you written instructions and talk through them with you. You'll leave with all the information you need to know, including:
You'll also get a going home checklist, so you can double-check that you have everything you need. Before you leave, check out at the front desk in the area where you received care. We'll make sure you're all set to go home.
Once you're at home or at another care facility, we'll give you a call to see how you're doing.
You can have a friend or family member drive you home. If medical transportation is required, we will arrange it for you. Your insurance provider may cover the cost, depending on the type of transport required.
