Kevin Ronneberg, MD, named HealthPartners Vice President and Associate Medical Director, Health Initiatives

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Feb. 25, 2015 — HealthPartners today announced Kevin Ronneberg, MD, has been named vice president and associate medical director, health initiatives. At HealthPartners, Dr. Ronneberg will be responsible for creating employer solutions, strengthening consumer partnerships, and building new services and programs.

“Kevin shares a deep desire to help people live healthier and more satisfying lives, which aligns closely with our mission to improve health and well-being,” says Charles Fazio, MD, medical director for HealthPartners health plan. “He will focus on helping our employer groups design health solutions using our robust analytics and expertise in health and care engagement.”

Dr. Ronneberg has served in multiple clinical and administrative leadership roles. He comes to HealthPartners from Target, where he was medical director and focused on making high-quality health care more affordable and accessible through the retailer’s in-store clinics and pharmacies. Dr. Ronneberg is also a past medical director at Medica and was the medical director for clinical operations with Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care before that.

In addition, he is an associate medical director for Twin Cities in Motion, and is a board member for CycleHealth — a non-profit dedicated to improving health among America’s youngest generations.

Dr. Ronneberg is board certified in family medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed residency training with Park Nicollet Health Services.
