HealthPartners opens first Well@Work on-site dental clinic in Anoka County

April 14, 2015

ANOKA COUNTY, Minn. — April 14, 2015 — There’s another reason to smile for employees of Anoka County. HealthPartners is opening its first Well@Work dental clinic adjacent to the Anoka County Government Center.

The clinic will open its doors to Anoka County employees this week, offering a full-range of dental services including exams, cleanings and X-rays. In addition to the latest dental tools and technology, the clinic has both a HealthPartners dentist and hygienist on-staff in order to provide both quality and convenience.

Anoka County initially reached out to HealthPartners about implementing the new dental clinic in reaction to employee concerns with dental availability.

“Our employees’ health and wellness are important to us on both a personal and professional level,” said Commissioner Rhonda Sivarajah, Chair of the Anoka County Board of Commissioners. “Having this clinic on-site not only helps employees better manage their own healthcare, but improves productivity and efficiency, which is a cost-savings to the taxpayer.”

Anoka County employees also have access to a HealthPartners Well@Work on-site clinic, offering a comprehensive suite of health care services including primary care, occupational health, chronic condition management and laboratory services.

With 18 clinics currently open across Minnesota, Well@Work has recently partnered with organizations including Robbinsdale Area Schools, Medtronic, and Albert Lea Area Schools, to provide on-site wellness solutions for more than 60,000 employees state-wide.

According to Patricia Dennis, senior vice president, health and care engagement at HealthPartners, there are plans to add 5 new Well@Work clinics in 2015, and they are currently exploring the idea of adding Well@Work dental clinics to other companies in the near future.

“There are a lot of people who take their dental health for granted, or their schedules are too busy to take time for regular exams and cleanings,” said Dennis. “Well@Work provides a solution that’s perfect for companies looking to improve health and manage costs simultaneously.”
