Lakeview Health System CEO Jeff Robertson announces retirement

April 21, 2015

STILLWATER, Minn. — April 21, 2015 — HealthPartners announced today that Lakeview Health System CEO Jeff Robertson will retire at the end of June. Ted Wegleitner, President of Lakeview Hospital, has been named his successor.

“Jeff has led Lakeview through change and helped establish important new affiliations. Most important, though, is that the care and compassion at Lakeview is second to none in our state and the community impact and involvement has continued to grow. All of that is a reflection of Jeff’s leadership,” said Mary Brainerd, President and CEO, HealthPartners. “I know that Ted will continue to build on the solid foundation that Jeff established during the last three decades.”

Robertson joined Lakeview Hospital as CEO in 1987, a role he held for 18 years. When Lakeview Hospital and Stillwater Medical Group came together in 2005, he moved into his role as CEO of Lakeview Health. In 2011, Robertson guided Lakeview Health through a successful affiliation with HealthPartners. Under the affiliation, Lakeview remains a distinct entity and retains its own governing and foundation boards.

“I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with so many dedicated and talented employees, physicians, volunteers and board members,” Robertson said. “Together, we’ve improved the health and experience of our patients and the community.”

Wegleitner became President of Lakeview Hospital in September 2014. Prior to that, he spent three years as President and COO of TRIA in Bloomington, Minn. He has held a variety of health care leadership positions over the last 25 years including at Park Nicollet, where he served as vice president of education, vice president of employer services, vice president of surgical services and senior vice president of hospital integration. Wegleitner plans to maintain direct responsibility for Lakeview Hospital.
