Regions Hospital and TRIA Orthopaedic Center

The leading medical providers for the State of Hockey

September 10, 2015

St. Paul, Minn. — The Minnesota Wild announced today a multi-year partnership with Regions Hospital (Regions) and TRIA Orthopaedic Center (TRIA), becoming the preferred hospital and exclusive orthopaedic provider for the Wild. The two organizations, which are part of HealthPartners, will continue to provide official medical coverage for the team. The 2015-2016 season marks the start of this newly expanded partnership.

"Regions and TRIA have been outstanding partners for years, providing superior medical care to our players, fans and staff," said Carin Anderson, vice president of corporate partnerships for the Minnesota Wild. "We're proud to be expanding our partnership. In the season to come, we'll be showcasing their unique strengths and points of difference in creative, new ways inside Xcel Energy Center and throughout the State of Hockey."

Regions, TRIA and the Wild have been partners since the team's inception, the new agreement strengthens the existing partnership with new in-arena assets and better engagement. Drs. Joel Boyd (TRIA, 15th year), Brad Nelson (TRIA, 7th year) and R.J. Frascone (HealthPartners and Regions, 15th year) will continue to support the Wild as part of the medical team.

"We are excited to enhance our partnership with the Wild while continuing to provide expert on-ice coverage to the team," said Dr. Edward Craig, chief executive officer, TRIA Orthopaedic Center. "From the ponds in outstate Minnesota to Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, this is the State of Hockey and the Wild proudly represent that passion for the sport throughout North America. We're proud partners of the Wild and look forward to many years of success."

Megan Remark, president and chief executive officer, Regions Hospital, said the continued partnership will allow Regions to strengthen its connection with the community. "This is about much more than putting our name up around the building," said Remark. "Providing the very best care to both players and fans in attendance at Wild games is our top priority, just like it is in our hospital. We are very proud to continue our partnership and can’t wait for the season to begin!"

In addition to seeing TRIA and HealthPartners physicians from Regions on the ice and in the arena, fans will see more of the two brands throughout Xcel Energy Center. TRIA will be visible on Wild practice jerseys, the traveling press backdrop, and the Wild Fitness app for smartphones and tablets, while Regions will bring Plays of the Week to game days. The two organizations will be featured on digital signage throughout the Xcel Energy Center and on Wild digital assets, including wild.com.
