J.D. Power names HealthPartners 2014 Customer Champion

 One of only 50 in the nation to receive honor this year

MINNEAPOLIS, March 7, 2014 — J.D. Power has named HealthPartners a 2014 Customer Champion. The honor reflects excellence in customer service, and HealthPartners is one of only 50 organizations across the country to receive the recognition.

To be named a Customer Champion, companies must not only excel in customer service within their own industry, but also among nine other industries that were included in the Customer Champion analysis completed by J.D. Power.

“Every interaction is an opportunity for us to live up to this high standard,” said Mary Brainerd, HealthPartners president and chief executive officer. “It is a huge honor to receive this recognition from such a respected organization and it reflects our commitment to our members and patients.”

The 2014 Customer Champions were identified based on consumer feedback, opinions and perceptions gathered primarily from J.D. Power’s syndicated research in 2013. More than 600 brands were evaluated by J.D. Power for consideration.

In 2013, HealthPartners was recognized by J.D. Power as the highest ranked plan in the Minnesota and Wisconsin region in overall member experience, according to the J.D. Power 2013 U.S. Member Health Plan Study.
