August 19, 2014

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Aug. 19, 2014 — HealthPartners has been named the No. 1 workplace among large companies by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 16th annual Best Places to Work. The honor recognizes HealthPartners for creating a positive work environment through its commitment to health and well-being, employee satisfaction and organizational culture.

“It’s a tremendous honor to share this recognition with more than 22,500 colleagues,” says Mary Brainerd, president and chief executive officer. “This award is a reflection of all that we do to improve health and well-being in partnership with those we serve. It’s also testament to an organizational culture that engages and values one another as we work to achieve our mission and vision.”

The Best Places to Work rankings are based on the results of an employee survey conducted by a third-party organization. HealthPartners colleagues were invited provided feedback about work environment, people practices, personal growth and development, and daily operations. HealthPartners was ranked No. 1 as the survey’s top-performer among large companies (1,001 or more full-time Minnesota employees).

More than 200 organizations competed for 2014 Best Places to Work honors. This year marks the fourth time HealthPartners has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by the Business Journal, and the first time it has been ranked No. 1.
