HealthPartners launches Benefits for Me™ private exchange solution
New exchange sets fixed insurance costs for employers, increases choice for employees
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Sept. 12, 2014 — HealthPartners, the largest consumer-governed, non-profit health care organization in the nation, announced today the launch of Benefits for Me™. This new private exchange solution enables employers to offer many health insurance plan choices for their employees. The employee uses an online tool to compare and choose the best plan for them.
“Benefits for Me is a private exchange that helps employers set a health care budget and provides employees with greater choice and decision support during open enrollment. Employees are able to pick a plan that fits their unique needs and can feel confident in the decision they make.” says Andrea Walsh, executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
Benefits for Me™ can accommodate a wide variety of benefit offerings for employers with 51 or more employees using a defined contribution funding strategy. Businesses are increasingly exploring this strategy as a way to manage the cost of health care and simplify enrollment for employees.
This private exchange is the newest addition to HealthPartners suite of defined contribution solutions, and can be used for enrollment in HealthPartners medical, dental and flexible spending account (FSA) plans. It joins Plan for MeSM, an engaging plan comparison tool, which launched in 2013.
