Public invited to community conversation on mental health

Event on Oct. 12 hosted by award-winning radio personality John Moe

STILLWATER, Minn. — Community and business leaders, and families and health care providers will gather on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Stillwater Middle School to discuss mental health. In a survey of health needs, mental health was identified as one of the top areas of concern in the St. Croix Valley. The community conversation is part of Make It OK in the Valley, a campaign to reduce the stigma of mental illness.

The Make It Ok Community Conversation is a free event. It is sponsored through a generous grant from the Stillwater Area Foundation. Minnesota Public Radio personality John Moe will host the event. His podcast, The Hilarious World of Depression features interviews with comedians who live with a mental illness. USA Today named it one of the best new podcasts of 2016.
