HealthPartners announces drive-up flu shot clinics

Drive-up flu shots will be offered at six convenient clinic locations throughout the Twin Cities

September 11, 2020

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — As part of ongoing efforts to provide care to patients in a thoughtful, safe and efficient manner, HealthPartners is offering drive-up flu shot clinics starting on Sept. 8 and running through Oct. 31.

“We know that our patients and members are looking for flu vaccines this time of year,” said Dr. Beth Averbeck, senior medical director for primary care. “We needed to come up with a convenient option while ensuring the safety of patients and colleagues.”

Drive-up flu shots will be offered at six clinic locations throughout the metro, including Lakeville, Plymouth, Stillwater, White Bear Lake, St. Paul and St. Louis Park.

“Getting your flu vaccine is even more important this year due to COVID-19,” said Dr. Mark Sannes, senior medical director for specialty care. “If we can reduce the number of people who need hospital care, we will be better prepared to handle any potential surge in COVID-19 cases.”

Both drive-up and in-clinic flu shots will require an appointment. Scheduling can be made by phone or online at HealthPartners.com. HealthPartners will not offer walk-in flu shots this year due to our continued efforts to ensure social distancing. Flu shots for children younger than 2 years can only be made in clinic. Children ages 2-12 can only receive the flu mist in the drive-up clinic, but they can get either the flu shot or flu mist in clinic.
