BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – HealthPartners today announced two promotions and a new hire for key roles within the organization. Julie Bunde, a 14-year veteran of HealthPartners health plan, is now Vice President, Product & Market Innovations. Vince Rivard, who joined the organization in 2004, is now Vice President of Communications. Additionally, Kari Toft joined the organization this month as the new IS&T Vice President for Care Delivery Systems.

During her tenure at HealthPartners, Bunde has helped develop and manage the organization’s health plan product portfolio to an industry-leading position across individual, small group, mid-size and large group markets. Prior to her promotion, Bunde was Senior Director of Product Management. In that role, she navigated complex plan design solutions during a time of constant regulatory shifts and market unpredictability. Bunde joined HealthPartners health plan in October 2003, as Manager of Consumer-directed Health Plans Products & Programs. Previously, she also worked in finance at HealthPartners.

As Senior Director of Communications for the past three years, Rivard has played a key role in the building and stewardship of the organization’s brand, reputation and culture through internal and external communications. Under his leadership, communications has helped to strengthen partnerships and connections throughout the HealthPartners system and across the broader community. Rivard is a trusted communications advisor to leaders and teams across the organization, and often serves as the primary spokesperson to the news media and other important audiences.

After more than 30 years of technical, operational and strategic leadership at Mayo Clinic, Toft began her new role at HealthPartners on June 25. Recently, Toft served as Senior Director of Data Delivery Services on the Enterprise Technology System senior management team and led all data delivery services for Mayo Clinic. Toft is on the Boards of Minnesota High Tech Association and Women Leading in Technology and is an active member of Women’s Health Leadership Trust and HIMSS.
