HealthPartners health insurance plan is top-rated in Minnesota

National Committee for Quality Assurance recognizes health plans for exceptional care and member satisfaction

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — HealthPartners is the top-rated commercial health plan in Minnesota and among the highest-rated plans in the nation with a rating of 4.5 out of 5, according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Private Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2019-2020.

NCQA has recognized HealthPartners as the highest or one of the highest performing commercial plans in the state for 15 years (2005-2019).

“The yearly NCQA ratings are an important reflection of our commitment to providing excellent care, service and support to our members and employers,” said Andrea Walsh, HealthPartners president and CEO. “We’re incredibly proud to once again be the top-rated plan in the state and one of the top health plans in the country.”

Each year, NCQA analyzes health plans on the following care and service measures to help consumers compare plans:

  • Health prevention and treatment measures (70 percent of a plan’s total score)
  • Consumer satisfaction (20 percent)
  • NCQA accreditation (10 percent)
