HealthPartners names new nursing executive at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital
Melissa Fritz is the chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services.
ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. – HealthPartners today announced Melissa Fritz as the chief nursing officer at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital and vice president of the hospital’s patient care services.
In her role, Fritz will be responsible for nursing practice across the organization while creating an engaging environment for clinicians to provide care.
“Melissa is passionate about developing relationships and building trust within teams and shares our goal of creating a culture where everyone feels welcomed, valued and included,” said Jennifer Myster, president of Methodist Hospital. “She also brings expertise in performance improvement, enhancing hospital throughput, developing leaders and improving patient experience.”
Prior to joining HealthPartners, Fritz spent 14 years with Allina Health, where she held progressive leadership roles in hospital nursing operations, intensive care and neuroscience. Fritz received her master’s degree from the University of Minnesota and bachelor’s degree from Marquette University. She is currently working toward her doctorate in nursing practice at Baylor University.
