HealthPartners names senior vice president of provider partnerships

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – HealthPartners today announced that Randy Billings has been named senior vice president of provider partnerships. In this role, Billings is responsible for building, leading and cultivating strategic relationships between HealthPartners health plan and provider partners across its service area.

“Randy will be a strong addition to our team, and I’m looking forward to the experience and perspectives he’ll bring to HealthPartners,” said Jim Eppel, executive vice president and chief administrative officer. “His leadership background in integrated health systems is invaluable as we continue to grow a strong provider base that will provide high-quality, affordable care for our members and patients.”

Billings joins HealthPartners following six years at OSF HealthCare, an integrated health system based in Peoria, Ill. OSF HealthCare is a diversified non-profit system including 15 hospitals, a large, multi-specialty medical group, urgent and emergent care centers and several other care delivery functions. At OSF HealthCare, Billings was responsible for managing its population health functions, including the accountable care organization services and strategies, care management division, as well as traditional and value-based payment relationships with commercial, government and employer purchasers.

Prior to OSF HealthCare, Billings served in senior leadership roles at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Advocate Health Care in Chicago and as a senior consultant with Leavitt Partners in Salt Lake City.
