HealthPartners welcomes new actuarial and underwriting leader
MINNEAPOLIS – HealthPartners today announced that Brian O’Shields has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Actuarial and Underwriting.
O’Shields is a longtime financial health care expert with more than 25 years of experience. In his role at HealthPartners, O’Shields will lead the actuarial and underwriting teams, while also partnering with many other departments, including finance, analytics and contracting. He’ll also have an important role in the organization’s ongoing efforts to make health care coverage more affordable.
Previously, he served in similar roles at both Group Health Cooperative in Seattle, Wash., and Blue Shield of Washington.
O’Shields is a graduate of Wichita State University.
