New health plan options available for Wisconsin employers

Robin with HealthPartners reaches 17,000 members, plans further expansion

August 7, 2018

NORTHEAST WISCONSINRobin with HealthPartners is expanding to provide small group employers in Wisconsin with health plan options in 2019 and introducing new solutions for large employers. Today, Robin provides medical coverage to more than 17,000 health plan members from large employers.

Robin is a collaboration between HealthPartners, Bellin Health and ThedaCare. The organizations have a shared non-profit mission of helping people live healthier lives through access to safe, expert, local care. Robin combines a high-quality network of local care options with a trusted health plan to offer expanded market choice for Wisconsin employers.

Affordable new options for small employers

For small companies with two to 50 employees, health plan affordability is often a challenge. Robin’s new health plan offerings for small employers aim to provide employees with a better experience and more value-added services with access to high-quality care.

“We know that health care is often an employer’s number one expense, and we’re excited to bring options that are more simple and affordable to the market,” said Andrea Walsh, president and CEO, HealthPartners. “Employers will benefit from having care and coverage delivered together in a model that focuses on improving health.”

New solutions for large employers

For large employers, Robin is adding a new EZ product portfolio which uses pre-defined product designs, often called shelf products, to offer employers more affordable options. This product solution saves employers both time and money while still providing a wide range of health plan offerings. These products will also be available for self-insured small employers with 20 to 50 employees.

“This expansion will continue our shared mission to improve the health and well-being of our communities by offering more health plan options,” said Imran Andrabi, MD, president and CEO of ThedaCare. “This is an opportunity to extend access to safe, expert, local care while managing costs over time for local Wisconsin employers.”

George Kerwin, president and CEO of Bellin Health, added, “Bellin Health is excited to continue partnering with ThedaCare and HealthPartners to provide quality care and coverage to Wisconsin. We’ve already seen the positive impact of our collaboration and look forward to doing even more to support health and affordability for our Wisconsin communities.”
