Dr. Aimee Custer is a Clinical Sports Neuropsychologist and serves as the Clinical Director of the TRIA Sport Concussion Program. She is fellowship trained through the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, specializing in the treatment of sport concussion and post-concussion syndrome. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Minnesota Professional School of Psychology at Argosy University after completing undergrad at the College of St. Benedicts. She studied rehabilitation and health psychology with a focus on spinal cord injury, brain injury and polytrauma during her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Missouri. She has experience working with athletes across all levels, including youth, collegiate, professional and Olympic, seeing well over 10,000 concussion patient visits in her career thus far. She serves as the team neuropsychologist for the MN Frost Professional Women\u2019s Hockey and was previously retained for three years by the NHL for the Player\u2019s Concussion Injury Litigation. She is active in research, education and program development, supervising students on a yearly basis and currently collaborating on several grant funded studies.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Matt Harder, ATC, CSCS is the Head of Strength and Conditioning for the Minnesota Wild Organization of the National Hockey League. In this role he oversees the off-ice performance programming, sports science, workload management, nutrition, and supplementation, while integrating with organization\u2019s medical staff with rehabilitating injured players and managing return to play for the NHL, AHL and Prospects players. Harder is in his 4th season with the MN Wild in this role and in his 11th<\/i> year in professional hockey. Prior to joining the Wild, Harder served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Iowa Wild (AHL), Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach\/Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Arizona Coyotes (NHL), Head Strength and Conditioning Coach\/Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL), and Head Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Manchester Monarchs (ECHL). Prior to working in professional hockey Harder attended Graduate and Undergraduate School at the University of North Dakota studying sports medicine and exercise science.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

A former competitive hockey player himself, Dr. Lynch serves as a Team Physician for USA Hockey and is the Head Team Physician for the Detroit Lions. Dr. Peter MacDonald, MD, FRCSC, is a Professor of Surgery and Gibson Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research at the University of Manitoba. He serves as Site Medical Lead and Medical Director of Surgery at the Pan Am Clinic, where he is also Chief Research and Innovation Officer. A past President of both the Canadian Orthopaedic Association and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, he is recognized internationally for his leadership in orthopaedics. His clinical and research work centers on upper extremity, knee, sports injuries, and arthroscopy, with more than 200 peer\u2011reviewed publications and over 600 national and international presentations. He previously served on multiple editorial boards, including as Associate Editor for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery<\/em>. Dr. MacDonald is the Head Team Physician for the Winnipeg Jets (NHL) and Head Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL).<\/div>\n

Brad Nelson, MD

Brad Nelson, MD, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota, where he leads departmental strategy, research advancement, and educational excellence. He practices clinically at TRIA Orthopedic Center and the University of Minnesota, with a focus on sports medicine and complex knee care. He is a Wild Team Physician, Head Physicians of U of M Athletics, and Chief Medical Director of TRIA Research and Education. Dr. Nelson earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Colorado. He went on to complete the West Point Army Sports Medicine Fellowship. A member of AOSSM, ISAKOS, the Herodicus Society, and AAOS, he remains active in national leadership and education.
