She serves in multiple national and international leadership roles, including Chair of the USRowing Medical Committee, co\u2011chair of the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee Women\u2019s Health Task Force, and member of both the World Rowing Medical Commission and the WTA Women\u2019s Health Taskforce. Dr. Ackerman is also a Deputy Editor for the <em>British Journal of Sports Medicine<\/em>. Her training includes a BA from Cornell University, an MD from Johns Hopkins University, an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health, and advanced clinical fellowships in sports medicine, endocrinology, and neuroendocrinology at Boston Children\u2019s Hospital, Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Anderson is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including American Psychology Association, Association for Applied Sport Psychology, and the Academy of Eating Disorders. Her research focuses on eating disorders and psychological factors in female athletes, with more than a decade of peer\u2011reviewed publications. She thrives on advancing sports medicine through her involvement with European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy, the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Forum, and the International Patellofemoral Study Group. Her training at the University of Rochester built the foundation for an impressive academic and clinical career. With more than 50 publications in the last decade, she continues to expand the field with influential research. Dr. Arendt\u2019s passion for innovation fuels her work and inspires those around her, as evidenced by her induction into the AOSSM Hall of Fame for her outstanding contributions to orthopedic sports medicine. A primary care sports medicine physician at TRIA Woodbury, she also serves as a team physician for the U.S. Cross\u2011Country Ski Team, was their head team physician for four years, and was part of Team USA at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. She completed her medical training at the University of Minnesota, followed by residency and a primary care sports medicine fellowship. Dr. Cichanowski contributes to the Female Athlete Summit Planning Committee and is active in AMSSM and ACSM.
