{"id":7915,"date":"2021-09-01T14:59:25","date_gmt":"2021-09-01T19:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.healthpartners.com\/institute\/?page_id=7915"},"modified":"2025-02-19T11:24:21","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T17:24:21","slug":"tria-graduate-medical-education","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.healthpartners.com\/institute\/tria-institute\/tria-graduate-medical-education\/","title":{"rendered":"TRIA graduate medical education"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Graduate medical education for orthopedic and sports medicine<\/h1>\n<p>TRIA Research and Education Center supports educational opportunities at the graduate level so we can continue to provide and improve orthopedic excellence in our community.<\/p>\n<p>We currently have more than 150 fellows, residents, medical students and ancillary students per year that rotate at our TRIA sites.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fellows are physicians who have completed their residency program and chosen to pursue additional specialized training.<\/li>\n<li>After completing medical school, doctors may choose to complete 3-5 years of residency depending upon their chosen specialty.<\/li>\n<li>As a clinical rotation site for the University of Minnesota Medical School, medical students in their third and fourth years rotate at TRIA for 2-4 weeks.<\/li>\n<li>We also coordinate rotations for students in numerous other orthopedic professions including, but not limited to, physician assistant, nursing and physical therapy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also offer a program for high school and college students to learn more about careers in orthopedics.
