Overview/research interests: Perinatal epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiologic methods, causal inference, medication use and safety during pregnancy.
Current research activities and funding: Oral Corticosteroid Use During Pregnancy and Risk for Preterm Birth. This Career Development Award funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Health and Human Development aims to evaluate preterm birth risk associated with oral corticosteroid use during pregnancy in women with autoimmune diseases. The project will develop and evaluate a communication tool to assist providers in counseling pregnant women who may use oral corticosteroids.
