Personal Profile

I am proud to practice ophthalmology at HealthPartners. I enjoy seeing patients with a wide variety of conditions including diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, dry eye, eye infections, and eye exams for glasses. The most common surgeries I perform are for cataract and glaucoma, but I also operate on the surface of the eye and do minor eyelid surgery. A unique aspect of our practice is that we provide emergency eye care for Regions Hospital, which is a level 1 trauma center. Minnesota is my home. I was born and raised in Saint Cloud. During my residency training at Mayo, I met my wife, Alexia Knapp, who is a HealthPartners dermatologist. My wife and I have two young boys. My interests include music, biking, skiing, and travel.
