Should I accompany my child to every appointment?

Yes. Any treatment we provide is contingent upon parental consent.

What do I need to know about billing and payments if I have HealthPartners dental insurance?

HealthPartners Dental clinic staff will provide you with an estimate of your fees and an estimate of what your HealthPartners insurance may cover. Copays and fee-for-service payments for services not covered by insurance are due at your appointment.

What type of dental payments will HealthPartners accept?

Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. For services over $200, you may apply for a six month zero percent interest loan from Wells Fargo. On request, our billing staff will also help you arrange financing that spans the course of your treatment. A $10 rebilling fee may be added to all outstanding balances greater than 60 days.

What other type of dental insurance will HealthPartners Dental Clinics accept?

Nearly all dental insurance plans are accepted. Please check with your employer to verify your insurance benefits. We also welcome self-pay patients who may not have dental insurance.

I have insurance other than HealthPartners, how do I submit a claim for services?

We will submit a claim on your behalf to your insurance company. You may be asked to pay a portion of the charges (approximately 20 percent). Once we receive payment from your insurance company, we may refund your initial payment, less any copayments or charges not covered by insurance if applicable.

If you have Delta Dental coverage, we will also submit the claim on your behalf. Delta’s policy is to directly reimburse you for the services. Therefore, we require you to pay 20 percent of the cost of you treatment and remaining balance within 30 days.

If your insurance company is slow to pay or rejects any part of or the entire claim, you are responsible for the full cost of your treatment.

What if I need to change an appointment?

The earlier you can cancel your appointment the better. This will help us schedule other patients and ensure everyone receives timely service. If you have missed several appointments without calling or calling on very short notice, a $30 fee may be charged.

Do HealthPartners Dental Clinics sell dental products?

Our clinics offer several dental products at very competitive prices. They include:

  • Xylitol Mints

What are electronic dental records and does HealthPartners Dental offer them?

HealthPartners uses state-of-the-art technology including electronic dental records and digital x-rays.

Dental records and digital images are available immediately at the touch of a keypad. Your provider will enter your treatment plan and your images directly into your record during the appointment. Your information is readily accessible to all caregivers at any HealthPartners Dental Clinic location.
