Kurt Isenberger, MD, has worked at Regions Hospital for 10 years, including three years as an emergency medicine resident. An increasingly busy ER, last year the Regions Hospital emergency department saw an eight percent increase in patients. Regions Hospital was the first academic medical center in the nation and the fourth hospital overall to qualify as an Emergency Center of Excellence by Emergency Excellence, an organization that specializes in emergency department benchmarking.
