The application process for our year-round and summer programs is the same.
What to expect
After you submit your volunteer application, you’ll need to take three steps before you can volunteer. It generally takes three to four weeks to complete the steps.
We’ll review your application, and contact you via email to schedule an interview. During the interview, you’ll tell us about yourself, your interests and your availability. This helps us find the best opportunities to match your talents.
You’ll need to bring these documents to your interview:
Upon acceptance into the program after your interview, you’ll need to complete an online orientation. You’ll also need to complete these screenings:
- State of Minnesota background check
- Health screening with Employee Health Service (Regions Hospital positions only)
- Review of immunization/vaccination record (Regions Hospital positions only)
We’ll provide all the instructions and materials you need. Medical screenings done through our Employee Health Service are free.
You’ll complete onsite training with a team member in the department where you’re volunteering.
